The Bahraini opposition said the unrest will continue until the government resigns, with protesters refusing to hold a dialogue with the country's authorities.

Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa has offered the opposition to start national dialogue to restore peace. However, thousands of people continue protesting on downtown Pearl Square in Bahrain's capital, Manama, demanding the "end of the regime."

"We do not know with whom they are holding a dialogue. There are no representatives of authorities here. We will not leave this place until our demands are met," a Shiite religious figure Hani al-Muallim said.

Some 60,000 people are expected to gather on downtown Pearl Square in Bahrain's capital on Sunday. The protesters demand the resignation of the government and establishment of a real constitutional monarchy.

The unrest in Bahrain started on February 14 amid successful uprisings in Tunisia and Egypt.

At least five people were killed and 230 injured as police opened fire on protesters on Thursday.

The protests continued on Friday but were cracked down by police. At least 23 people were injured. Between 60 and 80 people were hurt on Saturday as police again attempted to force the protesters from the square.

Bahrain's Crown Prince has ordered all the troops from the streets in an effort to end violent unrest.
