Russian President Dmitry Medvedev met with UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay, at the Gorki presidential residence outside Moscow on Tuesday.
Prior said her state visit to Russia, which began on February 13, was aimed at "enhancing cooperation with the Russian Federation in the field of human rights."
Pillay will also meet with high-ranking Russian officials and human rights activists.
The trip will end in St. Petersburg on February 19.
