Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will on Tuesday officially invite British Prime Minister David Cameron to visit Russia.
"This afternoon we will meet with U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron and, on the instruction of the Russian president, I will hand him a letter from Dmitry Medvedev, confirming an invitation to visit Russia," Lavrov told a news conference.
He said that Russian and U.K. leaders met on the sidelines of the G20 and G8 summits and agreed to discuss any emerging problems in order "to seek mutually acceptable solutions."
