Police in St. Petersburg evacuated on Sunday visitors of a shopping center in the north of the city after receiving a phone call warning of a bomb.

The anonymous call said a bomb could explode in the Nord shopping center at 8 p.m. local time (1700 GMT). All visitors were evacuated and checks were conducted in the building.

"Everything has been checked. Nothing has been found," a police source said.

Earlier on Sunday, Moscow police evacuated a Vegas shopping center, in the south of the city, after finding a bomb threat message. No bomb was found following the checks.

This is the second time Vegas was evacuated this weekend. On Saturday, another bomb threat message was found in the children's playground of the center and visitors were evacuated.

On the same day, evacuations occurred in a major shopping center Mega-Belaya Dacha, in southeast Moscow, and Mega-Tyopli Stan shopping complex, in southwest Moscow after police found similar bomb threat messages.

Another shopping mall OBI in southern Moscow was also evacuated amid bomb fears.

Police in Moscow were put on high alert following the deadly terrorist blast at the capital's Domodedovo airport on January 24 which killed 35 people and injured dozens.
