Mass opposition riots broke out in Egypt on January 25. Over 20 people are reported to have died and hundreds have been injured since the start of the disturbances.

Mubarak, who has been in office for over 30 years, has refused to stand down, but has dismissed the entire government.

Tanks have moved into central Cairo on Saturday at protestors moved toward downtown Tahrir Square, located near a number of government buildings.
