Russian President Dmitry Medvedev confessed that sometimes after reading biased reports about Russia on the Internet, he wants to immediately respond but takes a break in order to react reasonably.

Medvedev made his confession to journalists on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, while answering a question about what he believes to be the most inaccurate perceptions by foreigners about Russia.

"I check out the Internet in the mornings and read reports about Russia, the Russian government and about myself," he said demonstrating his computer tablet in his hands, adding: "I can say this - it wakes you up immediately and you're no longer sleepy."

He said that just about any stereotype about Russia irritates him but added that "there is not really only one thing that would bring forth any real negative emotions."

"On the other hand, I get the itch to respond to something through Twitter or pick up the phone and call the Presidential Admistration in order to dispel inaccurate assumptions. But then I put all that aside because you never need to make a fuss. You need to act accurately and in circumspect because the truth will always surface in any situation."
