Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin will meet with his Belorussian counterpart Sergei Sidorsky on Wednesday to discuss the common economic space between the two countries, Putin's spokesman said.
"Putin and Sidorsky agreed to hold a working meeting in Moscow on Wednesday to continue coordinating their positions on the common economic space," Dmitry Peskov said.
Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan established a customs union earlier this year. The three states plan to scrap their customs borders on July 1, 2011. They will then form a united economic space with common business rules on January 1, 2012.
The common economic space between the three countries is expected to ultimately result in the establishment of a single currency.
