Poland's Law and Justice opposition party on Tuesday criticized Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's visit to Poland, national radio reported.
The party claimed, in particular, that Medvedev made empty promises on cooperation in the Smolensk plane disaster that claimed the life of Poland's president, Lech Kaczynski, his wife, and over 90 officials.
Party head Mariusz Blaszczak said the agreement signed by Russian and Polish prosecutors to give Poland full access to the investigation into the April Smolensk plane disaster was meaningless as the Russian side had been "promising this for months" but to little effect.
On bilateral trade agreements, Blaszczak said Poland still had a negative trade balance with Russia.
Law and Justice, the largest opposition party in parliament, also attacked the recent gas deal with Gazprom, saying that it will only prolong Poland's dependency on Russian energy supplies.
Medvedev left Warsaw this morning after laying a wreath at the Soviet cemetery. In meetings with President Bronislaw Komorowski and Prime Minister Donald Tusk, both sides expressed their wish to open "a new chapter in bilateral relations."
