According to mass media, Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, who the U.S. diplomats called a “politically and physically weak” figure, got the worst end of the stick.

The Italian leader was also described as a "feckless, vain, and ineffective" and having an "overweening self-confidence." Berlusconi treated the accusations ironically saying that he “laughed a lot” when he read the newspapers.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy received a “milder” beating. He was characterized by U.S. diplomats as “susceptible” and “authoritarian” who was rude with his colleagues.

The Russian leaders were also mentioned in the report. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin were compared with the comic book characters, Batman and Robin.
