Moscow will host next year an intellectual and cultural contest among young men who moved to reside in the capital from provincial towns, the Association of Fellow Country Residents said on Friday.
The association, formed in 2007, unites and helps people from almost 80 Russian towns who reside in Moscow but keep close ties with their hometowns.
"Young people, aged 18-30, who love their native towns and at a certain time moved to live in the capital are eligible to take part in the Mr. Provincial contest," the association said in a statement.
The contest follows from the success of a Miss Provincial pageant held last year.
"At this point we are putting together a list of possible tasks for the contestants. For instance, to make something useful with their own hands in two minutes or to create an ideal image for a job interview or first date while having a limited choice of attire," the statement said.
The fifteen finalists of a series of preliminary stages will participate in November 2011 in the finals judged by a star-studded panel.
