Moscow's new Mayor Sergei Sobyanin will continue his work as member of Russia's Security Council following a decree signed by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, the presidential press office said on Sunday.
Sobyanin previously held the post of the chief of staff to Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and was a permanent member of Russia's Security Council before his appointment as the Moscow mayor last month.
Sobyanin has been excluded from permanent members of Russia's Security Council but will continue his work as one of the council's members, the decree said.
