The plane carrying 61 passengers, including 28 foreigners and seven crew members, crashed Thursday night in Cuba's central Santi Spiritus province. The plane was en route from the eastern city of Santiago de Cuba to the capital, Havana. No one survived the crash.

A special commission investigating the crash continues working at the site, the Escambray paper said.

The ATR-72-212 plane was owned by the state-run AeroCaribbean airline.

Nine Argentineans, seven Mexicans, three Dutch, two German, two Austrian, and one person each from Spain, France, Italy, Japan and Venezuela were registered on board the plane.
