Two people were killed and one child injured when a train collided with a car at a railroad crossing in the Lvov Region in western Ukraine, the Unian news agency quoted local police as saying.
The accident occurred on Friday evening. The train dragged the Mercedes 207 for about 100 meters.
An investigation is underway.
Earlier in October, 45 people died when a train crashed into a passenger bus in Ukraine.
The country's Transport Ministry is pushing for introduction of criminal responsibility for violation of traffic regulations at railway crossings.
