Key Ukraine's opposition figure Yulia Tymoshenko has not received an invitation to the Yalta European Strategy forum (YES), which runs these days in the Crimea, the Yulia Tymoshenko Block said in a statement on Saturday.
"Yulia Tymoshenko has respect for the forum. The last year she participated in it as the Ukrainian Prime Minister. The former opposition leader Viktor Yanukovych also had this opportunity and took advantage of it," the statement said.
The today's situation has shown that the political environment in Ukraine has deteriorated, Tymoshenko said.
YES is an independent forum that brings together high-level participants from Ukraine and abroad. Politicians, business leaders and journalists come to the forum to discuss and develop economic, political strategies for Europe and Ukraine. They also try to facilitate rapprochement between Ukraine and the EU.
