Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will open a cultural center in Beijing during his official visit to China later in September, the Russian ambassador to China said on Monday.
"The [cultural] center's activity will be aimed at developing cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, at raising awareness of Russia's innovative development, and at demonstrating our achievements in the fields of culture, science and sport," Sergei Razov said.
During his visit, planned for September 26-28, Medvedev will hold talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao and other top officials.
The Russian president will also take part in the Day of Russia celebrations at the Shanghai World Expo.
