Two people were killed and seven injured as a result of a bus accident in Russia's southern republic of Kalmykia early on Saturday, local emergency services reported.
According to the report, a passenger bus travelling from Makhachkala in Dagestan to Moscow turned over about 45 km (28 miles) from the village of Yashkul in Kalmykia.
"As of 06.45 Moscow time, seven passengers were hospitalized, and two died in the accident," the report said.
Earlier reports said a total of 20 people were injured or dead as a result of the accident.
The causes of the tragedy will be established during an investigation, the officials said.
