All of the Russian regions which take part in Expo 2010 in Shanghai have obtained profit from participation, Vladimir Strashko, the Commissioner General of the Russian Federation at the exposition, said on Tuesday.
"Expositions of such regions as Orenburg, Novosibirsk, and Amur as well as Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District and the Perm Territory have been held in our pavilion," Strashko said, adding that all of them have already gained some profit from participation.
The Russian regions have sealed deals and contracts with foreign firms in energy, IT and a range of other spheres.
"The Chinese have asked us for the best way to enter the Russian market and expressed their desire to maintain contacts. This exhibition surely helps raising Russia's investment attractiveness," Sergei Paltov, Russia's consulate official in Shanghai said.
"In fact, we managed to draw up a digest of the most interesting and vivid ideas with which our country has been participating in Expo 2010 since the last half of the twentieth century," Russian Deputy Trade and Industry Minister Stanislav Naumov said.
The Shanghai World Expo-2010 is being held in Shanghai from May 1 to October 31, 2010. Over 200 states, corporations and international organization take part in the Expo.
The Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Rostov Region, the Tula Region, the Chelyabinsk Region, the Astrakhan Region, the Primorye Territory, the Perm Territory, the Altai Territory, as well as other Russian regions, plus Moscow and St. Petersburg will also hold their presentations at the Expo.
