The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the long-awaited third installment of the famous vampire film series, premiered in Los Angeles. Crowds of fans camped out for almost a week to get a chance to see the film stars. Robert Pattinson (vampire Edward Cullen) was the first to walk out onto the carpet that was actually black to the excited screams of fans. Pattinson gave autographs and posed for the cameras with his arm around Kristen Stewart, his co-star in the film.
The Twilight series by American writer Stephenie Meyer, which centers on the love between a human girl and a “vegetarian” vampire, became an international bestseller. The first two installments of The Twilight Saga together earned over $1 billion.
