French company Safran has shown new infantry kits at Eurosatory, the world’s largest arms fair for land forces under way near Paris. Comfortable boots, a bulletproof vest and a helmet with a built-in digital screen are only some of the advantages of the FELIN high-tech infantry kit. It also includes a computer, a built-in GPS transmitter and advanced optronics-enhanced weaponry system that relays information to the unit commander in real time.French Captain Julien Morez says the 27-kilogram suit is very comfortable.Representatives of the Russian General Staff intend to discuss buying the kits for its special forces.
