About a hundred journalists are holding a march in Kiev on Sunday to protest against censorship in the media, the Ukrainskaya Pravda newspaper reported on its website.

The journalists participating in the protest are members of the Stop Censorship civic movement in Ukraine and their march is being held on Journalists' Day in the country.

The protesters are marching through the center of Kiev, from the Main Post Office towards the buildings of the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers, the Supreme Rada and the presidential administration.

The journalists are going to sign an appeal to authorities with a demand to counter censorship in the mass media. The protesters are also distributing the copies of a newspaper specially issued for this action.
