Apart from forged entry tickets, which are nothing new for any major international event, the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai has been plagued by people pretending to be disabled to avoid long queues.

Apart from forged entry tickets, which are nothing new for any major international event, the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai has been plagued by people pretending to be disabled to avoid long queues.

The first batch of forged tickets was discovered on Wednesday, and police requested potential visitors to buy tickets only from authorized dealers. There were also reports of swindlers selling used tickets.

However, organizers are uncertain of what to do with some people who have been pretending to be disabled to jump to the front of queues, local media say.

The Shanghai Expo Park has several thousand wheelchairs which people with disabilities can rent for a small charge.

However, more and more often the wheelchairs are being rented by healthy people, who leave them behind as soon as they get inside a pavilion.
