Another man committed suicide at Foxconn plant in China bringing the toll of suicides at the Taiwanese hi-tech company to five this month only and to an overall of 10 from the beginning of the year, local media reported.

Xinhua news agency reported that company's employee fell to his death from a dormitory building in a Shenzhen plant just hours after President of Foxconn Terry Gou arrived at the plant in China to show it off to 300 Chinese and foreign journalists in order to restore the image of the world's largest provider of electronics manufacturing services (EMS).

In all, 12 suicides were attempted at the plant since the beginning of the year, but two people survived and sustained severe injuries.

Terry Gou said the suicides are not connected with working conditions at the plant and they are the result of employees' personal problems.

According to media reports, some 400,000 people work at two Foxconn plants in Shenzhen with most of them from remote Chinese areas. They work on the average 12 hours daily and their monthly salary is estimated between $130-150.
