On May 22, the world marked International Biodiversity Day, held to raise public and political awareness of the significance of ecosystems and biodiversity for human well-being.

Dozens of animal and plant species become extinct every day. One of the ways to preserve biodiversity is to protect rare and endangered plants and animals.
