Russia is not realizing its sports potential in full, the president of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) said.
Jizhong Wei said that preparations for the 2014 Olympics in Sochi must boost the development of sports in Russia.
He also said that he had accepted Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov’s invitation to attend the international forum Russia Is A Sports Power in Moscow on July 29-August 1, 2010.
Jizhong Wei said he wanted to learn more about the new sports system in Russia, which boasts rich professional and amateur sports traditions.
