Dynamo Moscow dismissed coach Andrei Kobelev on Tuesday and wasted no time in appointing Montenegrin Miodrag Bojovic.

Despite signing Andrei Voronin from Liverpool and bringing Russian international Igor Semshov back from Zenit St. Petersburg, the club have made a disappointing start to the new season, winning just two out of seven games and are currently in 10th place in the Russian Premier League.

"I was told by telephone," Kobelev, whose last match was a 1-0 victory over Saturn at the weekend, told bobsoccer.ru. "No one explained anything to me."

Kobelev had been at the helm at Dynamo for five years and took the side to third place in 2008. However, the team subsequently failed to get through the Champions League qualifying stages, and finished 8th last year.

New trainer Bojovic is the former coach of FC Moskva, who recently went out of business due to financial problems. Prior to this, he took Urals side Amkar Perm into Europe.

"It's no secret to anyone that Dynamo is a club with huge traditions. You just have to mention Lev Yashin," he told the club's website after signing a contract that runs until 2012.

Four of the current Dynamo team played under Bojovic at FC Moskva before the club closed its gates.

"It's a plus," he admitted, adding however that "we are at a different team now and we have entirely different aims."

Bojovic's first game in charge is away to surprise league leaders Spartak Nalchik on Saturday.
