The president of Algeria has proposed French football star Zinedine Zidane to take the post of the country's national team head coach after the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, SoccerWay.com website reported.

President Abdelaziz Bouteflika offered the legendary football player to replace Algeria's outgoing coach Rabah Saadane during a private dinner for Zidane, his father and brothers.

According to SoccerWay.com, this is the second time that Bouteflika offers Zidane to head the Algerian national football team as the first offer was made in 2006.
