A small plane crashed into an office building in Austin, Texas on Thursday, injuring at least two people, the local NBC TV channel said citing police.

Police said that one person was missing and the injured had been taken to a hospital.

The plane hit a complex in the Texan capital that includes offices for the Internal Revenue Service, the CIA and FBI.

NBC affiliate KXAN cited witnesses saying that a single-engine plane flew sharply into the seven-story building at a steep angle.

KXAN said that police was investigating whether there was a connection between the crash and an explosion occurred earlier in the day in the house of a missing local pilot.

CNN reported that the plane had been stolen earlier in the day and the pilot intentionally crashed into the building, which is next to the FBI office.

Police said there had been no evidence yet to suggest the incident was a terrorist attack.
