Anti-Olympic rioters vandalize supplier of Canadian Olympic athletes

The meeting of over 200 anti-Olympic protesters, who marched through downtown Vancouver Saturday, ended in mass riots.

Dressed in black with their faces hidden by black balaclavas and masks, the protesters smashed plate glass windows, overturned newspaper boxes, threw stones at police officers, and used spray paint on cars and transit buses.Hudson’s Bay, the store that supplied outfits for Canadian Olympic athletes, suffered the most. The rioters smashed two of its plate glass windows and sprayed red paint at the third one.It took police in riot gear several hours to disperse the rioters. Police said seven protesters were arrested and charges of mischief were pending.
