Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has ratified a deal with South Korea on simplifying the issuing of visas for short trips by nationals of both countries, the Kremlin said on Thursday.
The Russian State Duma adopted the law on November 6 and the Russian Federation Council approved in on November 18.
The new regulations cover members of official delegations, journalists, people involved in international sporting events, cultural and educational professionals, entrepreneurs, participants in official exchange programs and relatives of those legally resident in the countries.
The agreement stipulates simplifying visa procedures for transit visits and stays for up to 90 days in every 180, as well as issuing multi-entry visas from one to five years.
