MOSCOW, November 11 (RIA Novosti) - Business communities from Russia and Nigeria are intensifying cooperation in modernizing Nigeria’s agriculture and introducing modern technologies following recent talks, the Russian-Nigeria Business Council said on Wednesday.
Agreements were reached at a recent conference held in Moscow with the support of Russia’s Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Nigerian embassy to Russia.
Albert Bakov, chairman of the Russia-Nigeria Business Council, told the conference that measures were required to assist small and medium business from both countries in building constant interaction and improving long-term cooperation.
In turn, Nigerian Ambassador to Russia Timothy Mai Shelpidi expressed the hope for successful cooperation between Russian and Nigerian business communities.
The Russian-Nigerian Business Council, which integrates 18 Russian small, medium and large businesses, aims to expand and develop business contacts and mutually advantageous cooperation between entrepreneurs from both countries and also to protect their legitimate rights and interests.
