Yevgenia Lapova, 23, graduated from the acting faculty of the Russian State Institute of Cinematography cum laude. In 2002, Lapova won the Russian national junior beauty pageant.

The Russian Beauty 2009 admits she didn’t have to make any great sacrifices, such as dieting. “Of course I kept to a diet, but I don’t think a Russian Beauty has to be skinny,” said Lapova.

For example, Svetlana Vaskina from Mordovia lost a shoe during the fashion parade, Sofia Lapitskaya from Kemerovo stumbled and fell near the curtain, and Lyudmila Vasilyanskaya from Chukotka lost the ribbon she had on her shoulder.
