Inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will inspect Iran's new uranium facility in the second half of October, the head of the UN nuclear watchdog said on Sunday.

TEHRAN, October 4 (RIA Novosti) - Inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will inspect Iran's new uranium facility in the second half of October, the head of the UN nuclear watchdog said on Sunday.

The new plant is being built near Qom, around 160 km (100 miles) southwest of Tehran.

"We agreed that our inspectors will come here on October 25 to carry out the inspection and go to Qom," ElBaradei said after his talks in Tehran.

ElBaradei arrived in Tehran on Saturday, two days after talks in Switzerland between Iran's top nuclear negotiator, Saeed Jalili, and representatives of six world powers.

The meeting with the 'Iran Six' was convened soon after news of Iran's second uranium enrichment site in Qom led to calls for harsher sanctions against Tehran.

Western powers suspect Iran of attempting to build atomic weapons, but Tehran says its nuclear program is aimed at generating nuclear energy for civilian purposes.

A confidential report by the UN nuclear watchdog, which was published by The New York Times on Sunday, said that Iran had enough information to produce a nuclear bomb.

Iran has "sufficient information to be able to design and produce a workable" nuclear weapon, the paper quoted the report as saying.

The report, produced in consultations with nuclear weapons experts both inside and outside the IAEA, stressed in its introduction that the conclusions were tentative and were subject to further confirmation.

Russia, which has traditionally supported Iran in the long-running dispute over its nuclear program, voiced concern in late September over the second enrichment site, and urged the country to provide reassurances over its nuclear program.
