MOSCOW, September 15 (RIA Novosti) - Moscow is ready to discuss any issues with the United States, even those on which they strongly disagree, the Russian president said on Tuesday.
"There is not a single topic that is off limits to us: We can discuss anything," Dmitry Medvedev told a meeting of the Valdai discussion group.
He mentioned Iran's controversial nuclear program, Afghanistan, Pakistan and North Korea among topics on which some progress had been made, adding that Russia was ready to discuss any regional issues.
"On some matters, our positions coincide - this is obvious, while on others we have advanced so far that we are already adopting serious resolutions," he said, referring to North Korea.
Medvedev said that during his upcoming visit to the United States next week, he would like to meet not only with government officials but also with members of civil society and dissidents.
"I believe there are dissidents in the U.S. It would be great - remembering the Soviet experience," he said.
