MOSCOW, September 12 (RIA Novosti) - Juande Ramos makes his debut as CSKA Moscow manager with a Russian Premier League match against Krilya Sovetov in the Russian capital on Saturday.

The former Seville, Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid manager was appointed trainer of the former Red Army club on Thursday. He replaced Brazilian coach Zico, who was sacked following a run of poor results.

Ramos coached Seville to UEFA Cup victories in 2006 and 2007, Tottenham Hotspur to the English League Cup in 2008 and steadied the ship at Real Madrid last season after being shown the exit following Spurs' worst ever start to a league campaign.

CSKA are currently fourth in the league, 10 points behind league leaders Rubin with 10 games remaining. They have also lost stars Yury Zhirkov and Vagner Love in recent months.

Ramos has been linked in the Russian media with a move for Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko, whom he signed during his short time with the club.

The Moscow club face a tricky away tie to German champions Wolfsburg on Tuesday in their opening Champions League match. They also face Manchester United and Turkey's Besiktas. The English club are said to be considering a bid for CSKA and Russian national side keeper Igor Akinfeev.
