MOSCOW, August 10 (RIA Novosti) - Michael Jackson has been buried in the Forest Lawn cemetery in Los Angeles Hollywood Hills, British TV channel Sky News reported on Monday, quoting the Jacksons' family lawyer.

The late singer's remains, including his brain, were returned to his family after an autopsy and were buried during a private memorial ceremony, with only immediate relatives and friends present, Brian Oxman said.

"The burial itself was at the time of the memorial," he added. "When the tissues were returned to the body, then the interment was made final".

The funeral took place on August 6, the channel reported. Michael Jackson was buried in a family mausoleum belonging to Motown record company owner Berry Gordy. Twenty people took part in the ceremony, including Jackson's father and his sister.

Michael Jackson died on June 25 at the age of 50 at a Los Angeles hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest and going into a coma. The circumstances of Jackson's death remain unclear, and the official cause of death has not yet been announced.
