MOSCOW, June 20 (RIA Novosti) - A Moscow court sanctioned on Saturday the arrest of a Chechen woman suspected of kidnapping the son of the vice president of Russian oil giant Rosneft, a court spokeswoman said.

Mikhail Stavsky's son, who is also named Mikhail Stavsky, is reported to have been forced into a BMW on April 13 outside the Russian State Oil and Gas Institute. Stavsky was freed in the early hours of Thursday.

"The court ruled to take [Zarema] Datayeva into custody," Anna Usachyova said.

The Investigation Committee at the Russian Prosecutor General's Office said earlier a suspect in the case, a Chechen woman aged 34, had been detained in Moscow.

A number of police searches have been conducted as part of the criminal case, and an investigation is ongoing.

Datayeva has pleaded not guilty.
