MOSCOW, June 14 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Maria Sharapova, still recovering from a shoulder injury, was defeated in straight sets by China's Li Na in the semi-final of the Edgbaston Classic in Birmingham.

Fourth seed Li won 6-4, 6-4 in 90 minutes, breaking the former world No. 1's serve six times on Saturday, and will meet Slovakia's Magdalena Rybarikova in the final on Sunday.

Sharapova, who won the tournament in 2004 and 2005, recently returned from a 10-month injury break, but defeated Li in the fourth round of the French Open.

"I definitely wasn't playing with the same intensity I had in the last couple of matches. Some days you have it, some days you don't," she told reporters.

"Against an opponent like her, that intensity has to be there every step of the match. I'm still getting used to a few things in my game. I just have to keep working, keep trying to get everything better and better," she said.
