NOVOSIBIRSK, May 29 (RIA Novosti) - The Altai Territory in southern Siberia and Italy’s South Tirol have agreed to jointly develop tourism in the Russian region, the press service of the regional administration said on Friday.
A delegation of local officials and business representatives from the Italian region, who visited Altai this week, said the region’s infrastructure was appropriate for turning the area into an all-year-round global tourist center.
The Italian business representatives displayed an interest in building a skiing complex in the region.
The head of the Bolzano-Bozen department of agriculture and tourism, Andreas Werth, said health products made in the region could be offered to numerous European SPA hotels.
