MOSCOW, May 26 (RIA Novosti) - The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, to be held June 4-6, will help Russian regions to improve cooperation amid the financial crisis, a Russian governor said on Tuesday.
“Now they have a common task: to pass through the crisis-like financial situation with the least consequences. The more we meet and help each other, the better,” the governor of the Bryansk Region, Nikolai Denin, said.
The governor stressed the importance of economic cooperation among the regions, including mutually beneficial trade in goods and exchanging experience in construction and infrastructure development.
The forum will be devoted to urgent issues of global development. It will be divided into two parts, covering economic and financial topics, and involve more than 2,000 participants.
