ROME, May 3 (RIA Novosti) - Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's wife has decided to file for divorce, Italian media reported on Sunday.
The Italian popular newspapers, La Repubblica and La Stampa, said that Veronica Lario, 52, had already contacted a lawyer to discuss divorce proceedings.
In late April, Lario publicly criticized Berlusconi for choosing TV showgirls and starlets as European Parliament candidates from his political party. She also accused her 72-year old husband of attending the birthday of an 18-year-old woman in Naples.
Berlusconi married Lario in 1990 and has three children with her. He also has two children from his first marriage.
