YEKATERINBURG, February 27 (RIA Novosti) - The second five-star Hyatt hotel in Russia has opened in the Urals city of Yekaterinburg and will receive its first guests in March, local authorities said on Friday.

"The hotel will start to function ahead of the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in June and will be able to accommodate the event's most distinguished guests," the Yekaterinburg City Hall said.

Russia took over the presidency of the regional security group, which also comprises China, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, last August.

The 20-story hotel has 296 rooms, including 56 suites, two Mediterranean and Asian restaurants, three bars, a Spa center and the largest business center in Yekaterinburg.

The total area of Hyatt Regency Yekaterinburg is 33,000 square meters.

The first Hyatt hotel was opened in Moscow.
