KEMEROVO, January 31 (RIA Novosti) - Six people, including three children, died Saturday in a house fire in the town of Belovo in Russia's Kemerovo Region in Western Siberia, a spokesman for local emergencies services said Saturday.
"According to preliminary data, a family of five people, including children, died. The identity of a sixth person who died is being established," the spokesman said.
The fire is thought to have been caused by the improper use of a heater.
The spokesman said the people could have been saved had firefighters been informed about the fire earlier.
