MOSCOW, December 13 (RIA Novosti) - Emergency workers have recovered a fifth from a collapsed building near a pedestrian street in central Moscow popular with tourists, an official said on Saturday.
"Rescuers found a fifth dead worker and removed the body. The search is continuing, and one person could still be under the rubble," emergencies ministry spokesman Yevgeny Bobylev said.
Part of a six-story 19th-century building on the corner of Starokonyushenny Lane and Old Arbat Street collapsed at around 3 p.m. (noon GMT) on Wednesday. No one lived in the building as it was undergoing restoration.
Prosecutors have opened a criminal case against the company that was carrying out the building's reconstruction.
