MOSCOW, September 28 (RIA Novosti) - Police seized almost 4 kg of heroin in two raids in the Urals city of Yekaterinburg, the local law enforcement bodies said on Sunday.
After a tipoff, police and security officers detained two unemployed Tajik nationals and found 6.49 kg of heroin in their rented apartment, the local law enforcement bodies said.
A tipoff also helped police detain an unemployed man with a previous criminal record and seize 1.23 kg of heroin in his apartment, the law enforcement bodies said.
Most of the heroin sold in Russia is smuggled into the country via Tajikistan, which shares a border with Afghanistan, the world's largest heroin producer.
