MOSCOW, August 24 (RIA Novosti) - Russian women won Olympic gold in the rhythmic gymnastics Group All-Around event in Beijing on Sunday.
The six-woman team took 35,550 points, beating China and Belarus into the silver and bronze medal spots, respectively. The victory was Russia's third straight Olympic triumph in the event, following golds in 2004 and 2000.
Russia's Evgeniya Kanaeva took gold in the rhythmic gymnastics individual event on Saturday.
Sunday is the last day of the Beijing Olympics.
