MOSCOW, July 13 (RIA Novosti) - The United Kingdom's First Sea Lord, Admiral Sir Jonathon Band, will visit Russia July 13-19, the British embassy in Moscow said on Sunday.
Band, who is also Chief of Naval Staff, will meet with top officials from the Russian Navy, including Commander Vladimir Vysotsky. He will also visit the Northern Fleet staff in Murmansk and meet with Commander Nikolai Maksimov.
Band will also visit St. Petersburg and several naval facilities.
The post of the British first sea lord was introduced in 1795. Professional military personnel are appointed to the post.
