MOSCOW, June 7 (RIA Novosti) - Six vehicles caught fire in Moscow on Saturday, a police source said, in what is believed to be the work of the infamous 'car arsonist' who has burnt over 25 cars since the start of the month in the Russian capital.

Early on Saturday, three cars, including a Mazda and a Honda, were set on fire in southern Moscow.

"Somebody placed flammable substances under the vehicles, set them alight and ran away," the source said.

Half an hour later, police received another call, saying that three vehicles were burning in eastern Moscow. The cause of this fire is currently being established.

Moscow police earlier circulated a reward of up to a million rubles (about $42,000) for information leading to the apprehension of the arsonist or arsonists. Several people were detained in connection with the fires on Friday.
