LUKoil chief increases his stake to 20.4%

MOSCOW, May 12 (RIA Novosti) - The chief executive of LUKoil, Vagit Alekperov, has increased his share in Russia's largest independent oil producer to 20.4% from the April 2007 figure of 16.899%.

The multi-billionaire possesses 173,511,000 shares in LUKoil.

LUKoil accounts for about 1.3% of global oil reserves and 2.1% of world crude output.
