MOSCOW, April 4 (RIA Novosti) - An explosion and a subsequent blaze have been reported at a residential tower block in northeast Moscow, a source in the emergencies service said on Friday.
No casualties have so far been reported.
The blast occurred at 7:00 p.m. Moscow time (15:00 GMT) on the tenth floor of a 22-storey residential building. 10 ambulances and 20 fire engines are currently at the scene.
"A fire and significant damage to the building can be seen on the upper floors," the source said.
An evacuation of the building is underway. Firemen are using ladders and cranes to evacuate people from the upper floors.
