CHELYABINSK, December 13 (RIA Novosti) - The North-American division of the KAIZEN Institute will modernize a production line at the Chelyabinsk Forge-and-Press Plant, the plant's press service told RIA Novosti on December 13.
"The KAIZEN Institute is a major consulting organization with subsidiaries in 14 countries. It has been cooperating with the plant for the past seven years. The institute's consultants hold seminars and training sessions for the plant's specialists," the plant's spokesman said.
He said that the modernization would make it possible to operate several lathes at a time and create 40% of additional production floor space. Production will not be stopped during the modernization, the spokesman said.
The Chelyabinsk Forge-and-Press Plant is a major Russian manufacturer of car parts.
